It’s the My Sexual Health crew here to announce a new free webinar sponsored by Femagene.
On Tuesday 8th February, get ready to learn everything you ever wanted to know about orgasms. Yes, really!
This is for you if you’re wondering what an orgasm is exactly.
Maybe you're curious about how an orgasm differs from "climax."
Or why women can have multiple orgasms while men can only have one?
Perhaps you'd like to know how your orgasms can be intensified...
Or, just how to have your first one!
This month’s guest expert, Prof Jim Pfaus, will be joined by Dr Elna Rudolph to answer all of these burning questions and more.
Prof Pfaus is an internationally-recognised and award-winning researcher in the neuroscience and psychology of sexual behaviour who is now at the Department of Psychology and Life Sciences at Charles University in Prague and with the Czech National Institute of Mental Health in the Czech Republic.
His research uses both rats and humans to understand how the brain and its neurochemical systems are organised for basic sexual responses like arousal, desire, sexual pleasure and orgasm, and sexual inhibition and disgust.
His work has also shed light on conditioned sexual responses that potentiate sexual preferences and reproduction, and that figure in the development of fetishes and paraphilias.
Prof Pfaus has published numerous scientific papers and book chapters on the neurobiology of sexual behaviour in both females and males, and his work has led to the formulation of new drugs to treat sexual dysfunctions and ways to compensate for psychiatric medications that have sexual side effects.
He has been interviewed hundreds of times on television, radio, and in print/social media, and his work has been featured in films and documentaries. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Current Sexual Health Reports, associate editor of Sexual Medicine Reviews, and sits on the editorial boards of other scientific journals. He is a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, and a recent Past President of the International Academy of Sex Research.
We can’t wait to introduce him to you all!
